Nutrient-dense, pastured meats straight from our small, regenerative Ontario farm.

Hey, I'm Josh, and I'm thoroughly honoured to meet up with you!

You're probably here because you no longer trust "big ag", and the commercial, high-production, heavily processed style of food production.

To you, it stinks of profit focused corruption, sacrificing human health for the wealth of large food processors.

You have made the decision to give mainstream food a wide berth, and revert towards the more crunchy lifestyle of your great, great grandparents. You are going to do yourself and your family the favour of only putting things in your body that are clean, and free from the artificial crap that's infused into so much of the food available.

You're going to put food on your table that is NOT linked to cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and the host of chronic diseases.

Here's a little bit about me:

I've had cattle since I was 17 years old, and realized right away that I love managing cattle outside, on pasture where they were designed to live. For one, I don't like being inside, and two, the cattle thrive outdoors, eating the grasses and forages that their guts are designed to digest, rather than the grains that have become the normal diet in the beef industry.

The cattle very rarely get sick when they're outdoors, and so antibiotics and drugs are not needed except for the very rare, isolated instance. There is a trade-off, however. Because I don't use any hormones, steroids, or grain to speed things up, my cattle grow a bit slower than the cattle in conventional feedlots, and therefore are more costly to produce. But to me, because of the health benefits to the cattle and the soil, and further down the chain, the benefits of grass-fed & finished beef to human health, it's worth the trade-off.

So I knew I loved raising cattle this way, and eventually started selling beef to a few people, who loved it, and started referring their family and friends. Then in 2020, I incorporated Greener Grazing Inc. and began offering grass-fed & finished beef to people across Ontario.

It's been a journey, with lots of problems to deal with along the road, but I'm excited to continue to serve in this way, and promote regenerative as the key to fixing our broken food production and ecosystems.

Join me in my journey to regenerate soils, food production, and finally human health through synchronization with nature's ecosystems instead of plastering on artificial chemical bandaids.

What the folks are saying...

I've tried grass-fed beef from several sources, and I can say Greener Grazing is the best as far as flavour and richness (and no doubt nutrition as well). Delivery has always been great too! Josh does a great job all around and definitely knows what he's doing.

What's the Rage With Regenerative Agriculture?

In essence, the thought process behind regenerative agriculture is that we don't actually need synthetics, chemicals, or even soil tillage in order to farm and produce food efficiently, and that in most cases, these things actually do more long-term harm than good.

Regenerative agriculture starts by focusing on building soil above pretty much everything else. This means eliminating chemicals, which kill soil biology, and using cover crops and intercrops to control weeds instead, always keeping living plants in the soil. It means promoting biodiversity, and having different species of plants growing on the same land, because some plants provide nutrients that others need, and vise versa.

Another integral part of regenerative agriculture is moving livestock out of barns and onto the soil. Rotationally grazing livestock across the land is one of the fastest ways to sequester carbon into the soil and improve soil health and organic matter content.

In summary, regenerative agriculture means managing the natural resources we are given, without adding artificial substances and farming practices, to promote biodiversity, symbiosis, and therefore a healthy ecosystem.

Testimonials

Grass-fed beef and poultry raised without the use of hormones is the most nutrient-dense food available. It's essential for hormone optimization, digestive health, emotional health and prevention of chronic disease. I strongly recommend grass-fed meats for all my patients. Sourcing ethically raised meats can be challenging and expensive, but Greener Grazing raises quality, ethical, nutrient-dense meat and I am happy I can buy this for my family and recommend to my patients.
